The style maven, Bri of Design Love Fest, who is a very visual person, always gives us themes when she calls upon us to cook for one of her events. We love it! For this one, she collaborated with Mumu Beachwear so she wanted the colors to reflect their collection, really bright, lots of pinks, greens and yellows. Guests were driving out to a private house in Malibu in between lunch and dinner, so Bri wanted to keep the food just sort of bite-sized with some desserts thrown in.
We were able to incorporate several menu items from our June Menu (featured here). Each month we have a special seasonal Lasagna Cupcake flavor and this month it is beet with whipped ricotta and Drake’s goat cheese.
I love how Matt turned one of our farmer’s market sides from our June Menu (see #HLAJuneMenu photos here) into an appetizer by just serving it in little bowls, same for the soup. So pretty!
