This event for 500 was an all night affair complete with cocktail hour, plated dinner, and dessert, each in a different area of the Cal Tech Campus.
Cocktail hour kicked off under a clear roof top rental from Town and Country.
Each area had a different live band for entertainment, here they were place right in the middle of the bar!
Springtime produce was reflected in Crostini Platters placed all around. They are so colorful and lush that the event planner cut down on flowers for tables and used these platters instead. That’s a great way to cut costs! Edible arrangements!
A full bar was complemented by these frothy tray passed signature cocktails.
In addition to the Crostini Platters were a variety of tray passed appetizers flowing through for guests.
Meanwhile, half of our kitchen is gearing up for dinner service.
Guests start to take their seats as a new band plays and our servers pour wine.
Dinner begins with an ornately plated salad.
And a chilled soup.
Behind the scenes, our kitchen fires the hot dinner.
Guests received beef, fish, or a vegan plate. These were all pre-ordered so that our servers knew which guest ordered what by their seating card. Everything was placed within 8 minutes. It was beautifully full of grace, and I’m sorry I do not have a video of it! Our kitchen’s agility is always so impressive at these larger scale events.
After dinner, guests moved outside where another band played and for a whole other mood to experience.
Sweets, cheese, coffee, after dinner drinks, and lounging ended the evening. What an event!
